About Senior Services
The Senior Activity Centers are located in Cortland, DeKalb, Genoa, Malta and Sycamore:
- The Cortland Site is located at 70 South Llanos in Cortland inside the Lions Club Shelter House. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- The DeKalb Site is located at 330 Grove Street in DeKalb. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The Genoa Site is located at 400 E. 2nd Street in Genoa inside the Park District Building. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- The Malta Site is located at 115 S. 3rd Street in Malta inside the Village of Malta Municipal Building. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- The Sycamore Site is located at 940 E. State Street inside the Park District Administration Building Golf Course Clubhouse. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Community members, especially seniors (aged 55 and over) are encouraged to participate in the activities and services provided by the Family Service Agency.
Senior Centers provide health and wellness promotion, education programs, social/recreational activities and mentoring. For general information, visit the Senior Services Center, the senior Activities Calendar or call (815) 758-4718.
A $1500 YEP Grant was awarded to Senior Services for the
new Generations Appreciating Positive Socialization (GAPS)
program that prepares high-school teens to visit seniors
confined to care centers. Contact Senior Services for more information.
