On May 14th the DeKalb Co. Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) will be hosting the second annual Champions4Children walk at the Sycamore Park District.

Since the development of the CAC in DeKalb County in December 2002, 745 children have received services, including 612 forensic interviews. The CAC has assisted investigators and prosecutors on cases of which 127 child offenders have been pled guilty or were convicted and another 25 offenders are still pending prosecution. Last year, $11,500 was raised for services for the children of DeKalb County. This year, the goal is to raise $20,000 and, with the help of the community, we know that goal can be met!
